The plan of man’s heart.
Today my wife and I had planned to travel to the US we were going to speak in two churches, visit friends and finally, I would go to attend intensive classes at Fuller Theological Seminary and then we head home. We were also planning to host two teams in June-July. We had no idea that even traveling around our own country wouldn’t be possible. This turn of events did not affect us only it has affected millions if not billions of people around the world including the postponement of Olympic games that were scheduled to be in Tokyo Japan. Indeed, the heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps. (Prov. 16:9) The turn of these events has taught me to totally trust and depend on the Almighty God, indeed is going to establish our steps as we journey through this difficult season.
Let us pray : (the author of this prayer is unknown)
May we who are merely inconvenienced
Remember those whose lives are at stake.
May we who have no risk factors
Remember those most vulnerable.
May we who have the luxury of working from home
Remember those who must choose between preserving their health or making their rent.
May we who have the flexibility to care for our children when their schools close
Remember those who have no options.
May we who have to cancel our trips,
Remember those that have no safe place to go and just be.
May we who are losing our margin money in the turmoil of the economic market
Remember those who have no margin at all.
May we who settle in for quarantine at home
Remember those who have no home.
As fear grips our countries,
Let us choose to love.
During this time when we cannot physically wrap our arms around each other,
Let us yet find ways to be the loving embrace of God to all of our neighbors!
Amen
